About Narvolina

Our mission to bring stress relief through accessible yoga

Our Story

Narvolina began with a simple observation: while many people understood the stress-relieving benefits of yoga, too many felt intimidated by complex poses or felt yoga wasn't accessible to them.

Founded in 2020 during a time when stress levels were at an all-time high, we set out to create yoga sequences that anyone could practice, regardless of age, flexibility, or experience level. Our focus has always been on the stress-relief benefits of yoga rather than advanced physical postures.

What started as simple online guides has grown into a community of beginners and experienced practitioners alike who appreciate our straightforward, calming approach to yoga practice.

Our Philosophy

The principles that guide our approach to yoga

Accessibility

We believe yoga should be for everyone, not just those who are already flexible or fit. Our sequences include modifications for all body types and ability levels.

Compassion

Our approach encourages self-compassion and meeting yourself where you are. We emphasize the feeling of a pose rather than perfect alignment.

Balance

We focus on creating balance between effort and ease, movement and stillness, stimulation and relaxation – both on and off the mat.

Our Approach to Stress Relief

How we design our sequences to maximize stress reduction benefits

The Science Behind Our Sequences

Our approach to stress relief is grounded in both traditional yogic wisdom and contemporary stress research. Each sequence is carefully designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system—your body's natural relaxation response.

We incorporate specific elements proven to reduce cortisol levels and promote a sense of calm:

  • Slow, deep breathing patterns
  • Gentle stretches for areas that typically hold stress (neck, shoulders, hips)
  • Balance between gentle movement and restorative poses
  • Mindfulness techniques integrated throughout the practice

Our Development Process

Each sequence goes through a thorough development process:

  1. Research specific stress-related needs (e.g., workplace stress, sleep issues)
  2. Design preliminary sequences with our team of specialists
  3. Test with diverse groups of beginners
  4. Gather feedback and refine the practice
  5. Create clear, accessible instructions
  6. Provide modifications for various ability levels

This process ensures our sequences are both effective for stress relief and truly accessible to those new to yoga.

Narvolina's approach to yoga is refreshingly different. Instead of feeling intimidated or inadequate, I feel supported and capable. Their sequences have become an essential part of my daily stress management routine.
